Arrange a guitar repair from abroad
Looking for a workshop in Poland to repair or restore your guitar? Contact Guitar Lab in Poznań. Before you ship an instrument, we will discuss the work and arrangements for receiving it.
Our work includes routine servicing, setups, fret dressing and refretting, structural repairs and vintage guitar restoration. We assess each instrument in relation to its condition and the player’s requirements.
From first enquiry to collection
Start with a message. Please agree on acceptance, transport and timing with the workshop before dispatch.
Agree on delivery arrangements
Before dispatch, confirm that we can receive the instrument and discuss packing and transport in both directions. Costs, transit insurance and any required documentation need to be agreed individually.
Workshop assessment and approval
Photographs help with an initial assessment. Inspection in the workshop allows us to establish the work required and the quote. We agree on the scope before starting repairs.
Repair, setup and handover
We carry out the agreed work and check the instrument. Collection or return shipping is arranged with you. Timing depends on the repair and the availability of any parts required.
Which photographs should you send?
Clear photographs in good light are sufficient. You do not need to dismantle the instrument for the enquiry.
- The whole instrument, front and back.
- The headstock, bridge, fingerboard and frets.
- The damaged area, both in close-up and in context.
- Visible signs of previous repairs or modifications.
For electrical faults or fret buzz, a short recording may also help. Mention your tuning and string gauge where relevant.

Do you also work on modern guitars?
Yes. Routine repairs, setups and fretwork are a regular part of our workshop’s work. Vintage guitar restoration is an additional specialism.
Can I send my guitar straight away?
Please contact us first to confirm acceptance and transport arrangements. This also applies to instruments being sent from outside the European Union.
Can you provide a quote from photographs?
Photographs and a description help us begin the consultation. Establishing the full scope may require an inspection in the workshop. We agree on the quote before carrying out the repair.
Can I bring my guitar in person?
Yes, you can arrange delivery and collection at our workshop in Poznań. Contact details and directions are provided below.
