Blue Mountain is not automatically the same as Mountain. Tahara is also encountered in connection with this name and should be checked against the individual label and documentation. Keeping the complete name prevents a guitar from inheriting the history of a similarly named brand.
Choosing a Blue Mountain instrument
Ask for headstock and interior photographs. Assess the body, finish around joints and neck geometry. Similar decoration to another brand is not evidence of common production.
