Yamaha L6 is a Japanese Dreadnought acoustic guitar manufactured in 1974 at the Nippon Gakki factory. It belongs to the L (Luxury) series. The instrument features a solid Ezo spruce top and rosewood back and sides. After our service work, which included fingerboard leveling, refretting, and the installation of bone saddles and pins, the guitar is fully ready to play.

Body and construction The Dreadnought resonant body is built using a solid Ezo spruce top and laminated rosewood back and sides. The instrument features a Natural lacquer finish. The lacquer coating went through a cleaning and conditioning process.
Neck and ergonomics The mahogany neck features a "U" profile. It is paired with a rosewood fingerboard, and the nut width is 43 mm. As part of the service work, the fingerboard underwent a leveling process. Brand new Blacksmith frets (2.1 mm high) were installed. The nut, bridge saddle, and bridge pins were replaced with elements cut from natural bone.
Sound The instrument is a fully acoustic design with no built-in electronic circuit.
Characteristics: The use of a large Dreadnought body with a spruce top and a rosewood body translates to a strong bottom end and a clear mid-range and treble.
Dynamics: The guitar responds directly to the strength of the pick attack, featuring loud acoustic projection typical for this body shape.

The service work we performed included: fingerboard leveling, refretting, manual cutting and installation of bone saddles and pins, hardware conditioning, and setup of the action and scale length.
The instrument comes from 1974, classifying it as an early model (Early Vintage) in the history of Japanese acoustic guitar production.

Bridge: Rosewood – equipped with a new, fitted natural bone saddle and new bone pins.
Tuners: Yamaha Die-Cast – closed-gear mechanisms with "YAMAHA JAPAN" stamping. The gold-plated hardware went through a cleaning process and retains its mechanical efficiency.
Instrument condition
Technical condition: The instrument is 100% functionally and structurally stable after the luthier service. The truss rod works properly, and the frets are brand new.
Visual condition: The guitar is preserved in good technical condition. It shows clear, standard signs of use appropriate for its vintage, such as scratches and minor lacquer dings. The gold plating on the tuners is covered with patina.
Setup and Modifications: Fingerboard leveling, refretting (Blacksmith 2.1 mm), installation of new bone saddles and pins, and a full setup for 12-53 strings were performed.
