Fender Jazz Bass JB62-75 is a Japanese bass guitar, manufactured in 2004 at the Dyna Gakki factory. This model is a reissue of the 1962 instrument, which is reflected in its historical hardware specification. This unit features a 3-Tone Sunburst finish and a rosewood fingerboard. The instrument has been equipped with Schaller S-Lock strap locks. After our service work, which included fret polishing and fingerboard conditioning, the bass is ready to play.

Body and construction The solid body is made of alder. The instrument features a 3-Tone Sunburst lacquer finish. A traditional Bolt-on construction with a classic neck joint is used. Natural traces of rust and patina are visible on the metal control plate and parts of the hardware. In our workshop, the lacquer coating went through a cleaning and protecting process.
Neck and ergonomics The maple neck features an "Oval Type" profile. The neck is paired with a rosewood fingerboard with a 7.25" radius. The nut width is 38 mm. The Vintage size frets retain about 80% of their original height and underwent a dressing process (polishing) during our service work. The fingerboard surface was cleaned and conditioned. Professional Schaller S-Lock strap buttons (1st generation) are mounted on the body.
Sound The instrument is equipped with two factory Fender USA Vintage single-coil pickups in a passive circuit.
Characteristics: The combination of an alder body and American pickups generates a frequency response with a clear bottom end and legible highs.
Dynamics: The passive electronics respond to articulation strength, maintaining frequency selectivity both when playing fingerstyle and when using a pick.

The "75" designation in the model name classified this instrument in a higher price range of the catalogue at the time, which involved the use of an alder body and American pickups.
The instrument dates from a period when Japanese Fender models were marked with the "Crafted in Japan" logo at the base of the neck.

Bridge: Vintage Style Spiral Saddles – a steel construction equipped with threaded (spiral) saddles, allowing for precise adjustment of string spacing.
Tuners: Vintage Style Open Gear – open-back mechanisms with classic buttons. The hardware has a natural patina, retaining its full mechanical efficiency.
Instrument condition
Technical condition: The instrument is mechanically and electronically functional after a luthier verification. The truss rod works properly, and the electronics operate without interference.
Visual condition: The guitar shows clear signs of use. Scratches and minor dings are visible on the lacquer coating. Superficial rust is present on metal parts, such as the control plate. The instrument has no structural wood cracks.
Setup and Modifications: Schaller S-Lock strap locks were installed. Fret polishing, fingerboard conditioning, and a full setup of the scale length and string action were performed.
